As we discussed in class, creating a video for our timeline. I have found a few different approaches on youtube, which I believe are done by other students. However I couldn’t really find any that exciting. I’m sure as group, we could create something a lot more entertaining and visually interesting.

Have a look anyway. If you can find any better videos please post it or leave a comment with a link.

I found this website which allows you to create and share your own timelines for free. You can also upload images and videos. I don’t know if it will be of any use. Perhaps we could use this for our website, blog or just help us structure our timeline.

The link to the youtube video is a brief description about it.

Absinthe, The Green Fairy.

The Poison that spills from your eyes
Your green eyes
Lakes where my soul trembles
And is turned upside down.
These words by the Fench poet Charles Budelaire(1821-1867)
celebrate Absinthe, the alcholic drink of choice for many denizens of Paris's Cafe culture.
Vincent Van Gogh became an Absinthe addict.

A very Famous poster Design by Saul Bass(1920 - 1996). The Man With The Golden Arm.
The man's jagged arm, which dangles in the centre of the poster is very abstract. The image on the one hand clearly recalls the drooping arm of Jesus in the series of Pietas that Michelangelo produced in the early sixteenth century - sculptures.

Francis Bacon - Love Was The Devil

Wine Crucifix

This is a very strong image and I think it could symbolize a lot of feelings but, also bring about a lot of meanings too.
It has a very simple story behind it but, I like to make my own ideas and thoughts about art.
This is one of my favourite pieces at the Tate Modern.
Arnulf Rainer is the artist and he was born in 1929.
